Broad experience in security
Roberto has lived in southern Sweden for the past three years. Originally from Malmö, he has returned to his home region after spending 27 years in Gothenburg.
Over the course of his career, Roberto has held a wide range of roles within the security sector. He has worked with personnel security in the guarding industry, including as an Operations Manager, and has also run his own business providing training for security company managers. He has furthermore served as an expert consultant in the establishment of alarm receiving centres in accordance with EN 50518 and SSF 136 in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Spain.
In addition, Roberto has worked as a site manager in projects involving telecom and security systems, including fire alarm systems, intrusion alarm systems, access control systems, systematic fire safety work and locking systems.
New responsibilities at SBSC
In his role at SBSC, Roberto will primarily work with alarm receiving centres, security companies and manufacturers of security doors. His responsibilities may expand over time, and auditor training is already planned for March.
“Over the years, I worked closely with SBSC’s auditors in my role as a consultant, which gave me a good understanding of how SBSC works with clients on site. What I look forward to most is working alongside such knowledgeable and experienced colleagues,” says Roberto.
Roberto also highlights the value of certification not only as proof that requirements have been met, but also as a tool for development within organisations.
“A certificate confirms that specific requirements are fulfilled and therefore provides assurance to customers and other stakeholders. In many cases, the journey towards certification – and maintaining it over time – also becomes an important learning process for the organisation.”
Looking ahead
Roberto sees his new role as an opportunity to further deepen his expertise while also contributing with experience from both the consulting and guarding sectors. He also points to his attention to detail and his ambition to understand both technical and organisational aspects as key strengths in his work.
