SBSC held its Annual General Meeting on 28 May. The meeting marked a continued focus on developing the organisation and strengthening SBSC’s role as an independent certification body within the fire and security sector.
Certification plays an important role in creating trust between clients, suppliers and other stakeholders. Through independent assessment, certification helps make competence, quality and compliance with requirements visible in a structured and credible way. This contributes to greater confidence for clients and end customers, while supporting serious and qualified actors in the industry.
In connection with this year’s Annual General Meeting, Maths Lundgren concluded his assignment on the Board after nine years. SBSC would like to extend a warm thank you to Maths for his long-standing commitment, valuable perspectives and important contribution to the company’s work and development.
During his time on the Board, Maths has contributed with extensive experience and knowledge in areas related to certification, quality and industry development. His work has been an important part of SBSC’s continued development and of the efforts to strengthen the value of certification within the fire and security sector.
Going forward, SBSC’s Board consists of Anders Jangborg as Chair, together with Thomas Brühl, SSF Swedish Theft Prevention Association, and Mats Björs, Swedish Fire Protection Association, as Board members. Together with SBSC’s CEO Mårten Wallén, the Board will continue to develop the organisation and contribute to a clear, relevant and credible certification market.
As an independent certification body, SBSC certifies companies, persons, products and management systems within the fire and security sector. The work is based on impartial assessment and established requirements, with the aim of contributing to increased safety, quality and trust.
SBSC looks forward to continuing to develop its operations in close cooperation with industry stakeholders. The work ahead will focus on meeting market needs, supporting clarity in requirements and strengthening confidence in certification as a tool for increased safety and trust.
