SBSC is pleased to announce that we are accredited by Swedac to be able to offer verification in accordance with ISO 26000 – Verification of organisations’ social responsibility.
“We are exceptionally proud to have been accredited for verification pursuant to ISO 26000. This is a valuable tool for organisations that seek to demonstrate that they work in a structured and reliable way with sustainability and social responsibility,” says Johan Westlin, Team Leader and Lead Auditor at SBSC.
Convise – first to be verified pursuant to ISO 26000
Convise – which is specialised in fire-safety projects with a special focus on sprinkler systems – has worked since the outset of 2013 with the aim of combining high quality with social and environmental responsibility.
“At Convise, social responsibility is a natural component of our operation, and we see verification in accordance with the ISO 26000 standard as a way of further augmenting our sustainability work,” says Jonathan Eriksson, CEO at Convise.
“Making SBSC our partner was a clear choice for us given that we had a long-term and constructive collaboration. The process has been both clear and professional, and we are proud to be the first,” says Jonathan Eriksson.
From engagement to action
For Convise, the ISO 26000 standard is about combining environmental and social considerations with high quality in its services. Among other things, the company has actively reduced its climate footprint through digitalisation of workflows and electrification of the vehicle fleet while simultaneously focusing on the wellbeing of its employees by assessing and improving the work environment.
“ISO 26000 helps us maintain a high level of quality and build long-term relationships with our employees, customers and partners. We hope that additional customers will appreciate our sustainability work and see it as an important factor in the choice of collaboration partners,” says Jonathan Eriksson.
About ISO 26000
ISO 26000 is an internationally recognised standard which serves as a guide for companies in taking responsibility for their impact on society and the environment. ISO 26000 covers a broad area of social issues such as working conditions, the environment, sound business practices, consumer issues, social engagement and development. More and more organisations are choosing to work in accordance with this standard and use it to create a clear methodology in maximising their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Accreditation which guarantees quality
Accreditation is based on the ISO/IEC 17029:2019 standard, which ensures that SBSC possesses the expertise and impartiality necessary to provide the verification services. Companies who choose SBSC as the certification body can rest assured that the process is carried out consistently and professionally.
